Frequently Asked Questions
1. What techniques do you use to make your pieces of art?
I consider myself a mixed media collage artist. I handpaint my "girls" and usually glue them onto the background. I love using crackled, textured or collaged backgrounds. After adding many layers of paint, paper, texture and embellishments, I usually seal the paintings with a layer of beeswax.
2. What does beeswax do to the paintings? Does it need special care?
Beeswax adds a wonderful dreamy quality to the paintings. I believe the melting point of beeswax is 132 degrees so make sure it doesn't get that hot (LOL) and wipe it with a dry cloth every now and then to keep the beautiful sheen. You will notice the yummy smell of honey as soon as you take your artwork out of the box if it's coated in beeswax!
3. Is my artwork one of a kind?
Yes! The original artwork cannot be reproduced in anyway! I do sell prints of my favorites but only a limited number of those are sold.
4. How is my artwork shipped?
Each piece of art is carefully wrapped and packed for shipping. We use USPS, FedEx and UPS. Since we charge a flat shipping rate, the most cost effective shipping method is used. A tracking number will be provided to you within two days of payment so that you may track your order.
5. What payment do you accept?
Payments will be processed through your Paypal account.
